(השתמשתי בלחם מלא אבל רובם יעבדו.) הוסף 3/four כפית פפריקה מעושנת, 3/four כפית אבקת צ’ילי, 3/four כפית צ’יפוטלה, 3/four כפית אבקת שום, 1-1/2 כף שמרים תזונתיים, 1 כף תמרי או סויה ללא גלוטן, אופציונלי 2 כפיות שמן זית. השתמש בידיים כדי לשלב תבלינים בפירורי טמפה. מוסיפים 2 כפות קמח (השתמשתי בחיטה מלאה אבל תערובת לכל מטרה או ללא גלוטן תעבוד). מוסיפים מלח לפי הטעם. יוצרים כ-5-6 המבורגרים, בעובי של כ-1/2-3/four אינץ’. או: אופים על תבנית מרופדת בחום של 375 מעלות צלזיוס עד להזהבה, מתהפכים באמצע הדרך (בערך 20 דקות). או: מבשלים במעט שמן במחבת טפלון.
